I bought a Staples brand "High Black Mesh Chair". I was looking for Aeron ripoffs and this seemed like by far the closest thing, $350 before a 50% rebate was about as much as I was willing to spend. It's really heavy duty compared to other crap generic chairs and it doesn't feel overly cheap, both sides are mesh and there's lumbar support and a (mesh) headrest. The mesh is definitely way more comfortable over long periods but it takes some getting used to. I guess I'll have to see how it holds up over time.

It's not on the Staples website, for whatever reason, but I saw plenty of boxes at the store.
