I'd offer to be a pilot, but Mechwarrior's one game I've never actually gotten round to playing. Played a little (very little) Heavy Gear, but that's about it, and I don't want to be too much of a liability: everyone laughs at the noob and all his silly mistakes until he sets the command transport on fire and kills 36 visiting ambassadors. In any case, I cast my vote for the Davion Heavy Guards. Sure, we won't know what we're facing, but it gives ss the REALLY BIG MECHS WITH COLOSSAL SHOOTY BITS so in the end it all balances out, right?

WarLocke posted:That thing reminds me of the random bullshit munchkin designs I would make up with my friends when we were 12. Like, I took a Phoenix Hawk chassis once and made up some rule to give it an energy blade or something. It's work as an entrenched weapons platform if you replaced the arms with a couple of long-range guns or mortars, but I would not want to be the one taking it into combat.

Out of that list, I'm going to go with the Shadow Hawk based purely on the fact that the design's cool.
