That's probably the best revival-era ECW match. It's wicked fun, the crowd are SUPER into it and Burke's running knee to Sabu THROUGH a table is such a ridiculous spot.

It's definitely a fun match, but I thought it was kind of a mess. Of course, that's a trademark of ECW of any era though. There was a good while during the revival period where ECW put on great main events every week even if most times they weren't extreme rules. There was great match two weeks after this one between RVD and Burke that had a hilarious spot where CM Punk 'accidentally' slid a chair to RVD instead of Burke since he had joined the New Breed the week prior.

I posted these in the Podcast thread, but they're probably worth reposting.

Bryan and Vinny reviewed an episode of Mid Atlantic Wrestling from 1982 that's on 24/7 right now. Quite possibly one of the worst wrestling shows ever. Everything on this show was awful. But a few moments stood above the rest as being so bad they became enjoyable.

First here's the relevant part of the podcast who someone just uploaded as a response to my upload of the match

And here's the match in full

In my opinion the weekly Bryan and Vinny shows alone is worth the price of the subscription. Then you factor in the other shows, the podcast archive, the newsletters, and the newsletter archive and it's really worth the price. Can't say I'm a fan of The Board though.

He basically spent most of it on Velocity and in the midcard and from what I remember was in "cranky old man" mode where he'd do lots of stiff-rear end chops and poo poo. It kind of ruled until they decided to turn him heel with the always-a-winner combo of a losing streak and having him blame racism. He requested his release not long after the heel turn iirc.

They also tried teaming with Matt Hardy for some reason. It was horrible.

So I loved the Kevin Nash shoot interview with RF Videos, and I'm halfway through the Kurt Angle one. What others should I really see? If I could get my hands on the Cornette tape, I'd watch it in a heartbeat, obviously, but which ones are "the best"?

Semi-related: I was watching the Nash interview, and at one point Nash says "Why do you think no one gives a gently caress about Ring Of Honor?"

I laughed, then I realized he was talking with Rob Feinstein, the founder of RoH, and I laughed some more.

Sucks that such a horrible person created a great promotion like ROH.

Regardless of the deluge of stips that's pretty good match. Pretty much every Dibiase/Duggan match I've seen from Mid South was good. Duggan was actually pretty drat good in Mid South.

Zack's Youtube show is drat funny, but he's best used in little bits like that. That's how the WWE should utilize him. Just get him on TV and let him do stuff like this. Of course let him wrestle too, but the last thing that should be done is to go from no exposure to overexposure. Because then people will turn on him fast.
