I remember a Savage interview years back where he talked about the Warrior in a time when everyone always buried him in interviews. Savage said that to that day, he and Warrior were good friends and got along really well because they were both so out there that they basically spoke the same language.

I think of the Warrior video the same way I see the Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior. I know that whoever's behind it has an ax to grind. I know that it's an extremely one-sided hatchet job. I know that it's given to us by someone extremely shady and unreliable. At the same time, I also recognize that a good deal of it is probably true because... I mean, look at who the target is! Besides, it's an hour of iceburnage against someone who has it coming. I'm entertained. That said, if it were to be Hogan doing a shoot on Warrior, I wouldn't enjoy it nearly as much. With WWE and Warrior, I can accept their lies as being some kind of variation or mutation of the truth. Hogan's lies are like something out of Million Little Pieces.

Nothing says Summerslam like squash matches + people doing things while it is summer! From that show, we have the greatness that comes from Greg "The Hammer" Valentine vs. Hercules. Not the match itself, but the angle surrounding it. Valentine beat "Rugged" Ronnie Garvin in a retirement match, but Garvin's been showing up with other jobs in order to terrorize Valentine. Here he is as a ring announcer.

Four years ago, there was a thread here about a N64 No Mercy mod called Summerslam 2007 that featured the full WWE roster of the time of release. To hype it, someone made this music video which is done in the style of the AKI game intros. There's a lot of edited animations that range from decently cool to glitchy and terrible, but I think it's fun to watch as a time capsule of that summer.
