So today, Chikara did National Pro Wrestling Day, their first show since the Season 16 finale in December. Throughout the show, there were some minor moments that didn't make too much sense. A tag team introduced last year was described by commentary as being "decorated." A face tag team wrestler who was having some issues with his partner is now a Model-like singles heel out of nowhere. A brand new tag team had more points towards tag title contention than they should have because we've never seen them wrestle as a team before. Then UltraMantis Black came out to cut a promo, presumably about coming out of retirement and going for the Grand Championship. Instead, he opened his robe to reveal he was already wearing the belt.
