What weird random Smackdown to randomly fall on. I was actually looking for the July 5th, 2001 Smackdown because I didn't remember DDP turning against Shane McMahon & Booker T during the Alliance angle. There's plenty of quality Angle matches in TNA. Somebody might need to help me out here, but I'm just gonna throw out there: Kurt Angle vs. Nigel McGuinness (Desmond Wolfe)(3 Stages of Hell) Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles um.....numerous ones. maybe the last man standing match? Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson (Cage Match @ Lockdown) <-- Fantastic match Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe (Lockdown) Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe (3rd match out of the 3 match series when he debuted in TNA) Kurt Angle vs. Jay Lethal Since I can't think of the exact best Angle/Styles match out of the several they've had, I'm just gonna say watch Angle/Anderson from Lockdown. Plenty of crazy Kurt in that one.

Well, RVD slapped him right back, HARD, to the point where I swear I heard HBK wince. Then HBK tries to save face by saying "I guess you're ready, then." drat, that match was a disappointment. What's sad is that even though HBK & RVD were in the company together for years after that, they never had another match. This match was right after HBK came back from the hiatus. Would have loved to see maybe a 2007 RVD/HBK match. Especially when RVD was on fire after he won the ECW/WWE championship (for the short month that was).

Out of context, it's probably not a crazy bad rear end promo, but at the time it was awesome. From the Matt Hardy/Edge/Lita triangle thing. Hardy gets rehired after this angle was red hot, merging real life issues with wrestling. So, he proceeds to go out on Raw and cut the most boring, horrrrible promo ever in his return and almost kills the angle dead. Dude could have been more. It was back from when the Matt Hardy/Edge/Lita real life stuff hit and WWE wanted to make an angle off of it and rehired Matt Hardy. After all of this huuuuuuuuge buildup, Matt Hardy returns to Raw and gives one of the worst promos ever and nearly kills the angle instantly dead because Matt Hardy totally sucks. Well, Edge, on the other hand, reaks of awesomeness and with this promo, single handily not only repeatedly burned Matt Hardy in terms of attacking how terrible his promo was, but also saved the feud with just one promo.
