Didn't see anything about it in here, but supposedly the Dragon Quest edition PS4 comes out Dec. 11th in Japan Siliconera posted:This special console is silver and has a matching metal slime DualShock 4 controller. Thought I'd share some thoughts from trying out the DW1 randomizer the other night (the github one). First seed, chests in the throne room were Erdrick's Token, a herb and the requisite magic key. Also the cheapest weapon I could find was a hand axe (560 gold) and Red Slimes were early game murder machines with Sleep and Hurt. Second seed, I get to Kol in its usual spot and search the tile where the Fairy Flute usually sits. "Thou has found Erdrick's Armor."

The randomization aspects are limited to a degree to keep a game from being unwinnable. In addition, the github randomizer guy is beginning to experiment with map generation, could prove interesting.

All the DQ7 talk got me to dust off my copy of DQ4 DS I've been playing on and off the last few months. The ways the Psaro fight encourages you to swap party members around to keep your buffs up is neat for a final boss fight. Also every turn he wastes with that disrupting light nonsense is another where Alena and Ragnar give him the pain.
