My girlfriend is turning 21, and our plan is to drive down to New York, get a room, see a few sights, then stumble home drunk every night. We're not interested in beer (we come from some great beer areas), but we'd love to be at least a block or two away from a few cool cocktail places of different kinds, so we don't get lost and murdered on the way back to the hotel. Any ideas for places to stay? New York is huge.
