Looking to get from 116th and Amsterdam (Columbia University) to JFK on Monday morning. So far my best bet is the $45 flat rate Taxi. My flight departs at 9:25 am. What's my best bet and how long should I expect for it to take me to get to JFK? Could I prepay for my taxi ride with a credit card before they pick me up? If I was to be taking a taxi from Greenwich Village to go to Newark Airport for a flight that departs at 9 am on a Wednesday, how would that cost and what time should I leave? I'm thinking 7 am and I understand that there's a flat rate to Newark from NY but I'm curious to know how much?
