My mum and I are going to NY in December. I live in Savannah, GA now and she is coming to visit me (from Aus) so we're going up for a few days. Now we were thinking of saving money by taking the train, which I'm cool with also because of seeing the countryside. But we do lose days that way...is it worth it?? Can anyone suggest affordable hotels/hostels that aren't awful?
