I'm most of the way through The Bonehunters at the moment - figured I'd finally just do a complete read-through of the series in one go since it's finished. This has been bugging me for a while - does Dassem Ultor's backstory ever get explained clearly? He's been mentioned many, many times but I'm still fuzzy on what happened with him and Hood - and apparently how/why he was present at the Chaining of the Crippled God. It's made clear he was Hood's Knight at one point and betrayed Hood somehow and I've figured out he's supposed to be Dessembrae, Lord of Tragedy but that's about it.
