The scaling makes it looks like a Narrow Gauge replica you'd step into and have enough room inside to sit in rows of two abreast.

For my first contribution to the thread, heres a train that was long rumoured to be buried under a lake or some poo poo in Marlbank Ontario. The guy who owned the property just happened to own a construction company and decided he was going to find that train. He found it. https://www.quintenews.com/2024/04/17/marlbanks-history-resurrected-by-tweed-man/

Looking at the article it might've been better off left where it was until they'd decided what to do with it. Neat though!

That's awesome. I was curious so I looked into it and that is the 4th oldest Baldwin still in existence. The 2nd and 3rd were also built in 1872.

Hi Train Thread. I was doing some work east of Hartford, CT yesterday and found a time capsule on what I belive is the Central New England's Armory Line. Sorry for the garbage picture. I was perched precariously. They also had stuff from Metro North, the Central New England, and what looked like a beaten to hell Amfleet car scattered between miscellaneous stuff.

drunkill posted:Nigerian rail stays winning That's the kind of seating you see here on the regional trains near the entrance, for people who only ride for a short distance. Bafflingly hard to find a picture of that part though. The cursed thing are those minimal baggage racks. They are unusable for more then a summer jacket. The train feels totally full after half the seats have passengers, with their bags on the other half. e: found one of my pics VictualSquid fucked around with this message at 17:44 on Apr 28, 2024 |

Love the way the worst thing that happens to you when hit directly by a tornado in a locomotive is a few cracked windows.

Literally watching people give up and walk around a stopped freight train at a crossing.

No, the worst thing is that those employees are fired for using an unapproved electronic device in the cab (I very much hope not, but would also not be surprised in the least if one was)

Trains and tornados always reminds me of this video that I'm sure you've all seen a billion times before.
