I saw Boris last year at the Doug Fir Lounge in Portland as I happened to be there they were, that was nice. Good venue for them. Joe Preston opened as Thrones and he was really cool too. saw Acid Mother's Temple at the Casbah here in San Diego recently and it was sick so def gonna try to catch Boris there. Nthing that Boris rule live, go see Boris

Boris are one of those bands that ppl talked about on sites like this in 07-08 but have really stayed. I've seen them 9 or 10 times now. impeccable band, a perfect band really Something that caught my attn was that World's Greatest DJ Juliana huxtable opened a recent mix with drone metal, its either sunn or sleep? the craziest thing, i was at that show on molly, so i'm technically in the mix https://soundcloud.com/julianahuxtable/well-i-guess-finally-extended-playgirl-remix

The ride is very forward but the bass kick I can barely hear. A little more oomph behind that kick would pack some nice punch, I'm mostly thinking of the bit from ~4:30 - 5:15 All in all I'm very much looking forward to the full-length

Not really SDS but we were talking about Kikagaku Moyo a page or two back. Saw them tonight, they were super sick and way heavier then I expected from their records. They seemed like they were really enjoying themselves onstage and it was a lot of fun.

When I saw them recently they did a Rolling Stones cover, and also brought out openers Helms Alee for a "Night Goat" encore with 2 guitars, 2 basses, and 2 drummers. Sleep is doing a Canadian tour in September. I'm super excited to see them at the Hume Hotel in Nelson, that's gonna be a trip!
