Just found out that Sleep is playing the Sled Island festival in Calgary. Can't wait.

Sled Island here in Calgary is shaping up to be pretty great this year. First, the announced that Sleep is playing, and now The Sword. Plus, they have only announced about 15 of the 100+ bands that will be playing. I am gonna go see Acid Mothers Temple tonight... how are they live? (I know they aren't really stoner)

Sled Island in Calgary has been amazing so far. I saw Sleep and The Sword last night, and tonight I get to see Red Fang (and The Sword again). Sleep were incedible.. now that I have experienced Dopesmoker live, I can die happy.

I got to see Dead Meadow in a room of 100 people last night. They had just finished, and Biblical was about to go on, when the police showed up and shut down the party. Weak.

Crack the Skye is by far my favourite Mastodon album, and one of my all-time favourite albums, as well. I can't wait to pick up the new album, I like what I have heard. I jsut wish there were some longer songs on it.

Pigtown Blues was recently released on a 7", and I am guessing that it won't make the next album. They have been playing some new tracks live, and they are heavy and rockin'.
