I found out about them in a thread on Reddit about black metal that's anti-fascist. They were described as "psychedelic black metal", and that describes them pretty well.

Unless he's some weirdo fascist does anyone have recommendations on the best Paul Chain projects?

The PC Translate stuff is really good. So is his album "Metropolis" that he released as "Paul Cat for Ambientalism".

Since about 2014, he's been regularly releasing entries as "Paolo Catena" in a series called Quadrimusicali. It's a lot of synth stuff, but there's some stuff in there that would fit in with SDS. The latest album in the series is #25, although #26 should be ready some time in September.

Looks like he just started a Youtube channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFAglvsXMAicq2zGjtP1BWg - his wife has a channel with a lot of his stuff on it at https://www.youtube.com/user/LOLASPRINT4 as well, and she often collaborates with him.

Almost ordered a shirt anyways, but shipping to Canada is about as much as the shirt, so I went and did a donation of $4.20 to the rescue linked in that posting. I was still jonesing for a shirt, so I ordered an official Black Sabbath "Black Lives Matter" shirt - strange that shipping from the UK is less than shipping from the US&A. I plan on wearing it at worksites, and if anyone says anything, mention that it's official merchandise and ask why they hate Black Sabbath.

This.

I don't know why people use spotify or any online music services. To each his/her own, of course, but don't people want to own the music they like anymore?

I listen to all my music strictly via bandcamp (which are only items you have purchased), CD's, or my iPod.

It's obviously a personal preference, but I like to have what I want to hear in my own possession. Maybe I'm weird.

I'm curious; what say you, vinyl folks?

I still download MP3s from Bandcamp, and I've never really used a streaming music service beyond Youtube. Before Bandcamp, when you bought music online, the link would often expire after a month or so, so you had to permanently archive it somewhere, and the habit has never left me.

I just looked in my archive directory, and the first thing I ever bought on Bandcamp was March 13, 2011. It was the Hugenelk album, at the suggestion of this thread. The "Store Bought MP3s" folder is now 145 gigs.
