 I can't believe Martyrs hasn't been mentioned here! It's hard to explain the plot without giving too much away, and also it's basically two movies in one in a sense. But it's about a girl who gets kidnapped and severely abused and she seeks revenge years later (I hate putting it like this, since there's so much more to it, but that's the gist of it). It's an incredible movie and in retrospect the trailer is just confusing, haha.
