Polanski's THE TENANT. It shares some similarity with REPULSION - claustrophobic urban apartments, characters slowly hallucinating and going mad - but the subtext about scapegoating immigrants and paranoia over living in exile. The real pleasure is the pure WTFuckery of some of the imagery and the bizarre twists in plot - its got masterful pacing, so that the weirdness comes upon you slowly, and you're never quite sure what's being imagined and what isn't. Edited because I don't understand how image hosting works.
