It starts out with so much potential but ends up somewhat run of the mill. I still enjoyed it and Liev is always fun on screen.

ravenkult posted:You are all criminals for thinking Triangle is better than Timecrimes. Triangle is a movie I've seen at least five better versions of. Oh no bad things happen and then they repeat, what an original idea! Other than Groundhog Day I'm stressing to think of another movie where the entire timeline cycles. Oh poo poo, mentioning GD was bannable at one point.

HUNDU THE BEAST GOD posted:What, really? Yeah, it was something stupid where goons would post "that one movie with Bill Murray" and it became bannable. At least I think that's how it went. http://forums.somethingawful.com/dictionary.php?act=3&topicid=2186

Big Bad Voodoo Lou posted:I just saw Parallels on Netflix, which was sci-fi, but not quite into "sci-fi thriller" territory. Still, about five minutes into it, if you're anything like me, you'll get really excited about where it might go, and then it goes there. Basically, if you enjoyed the alternate Earth stuff on Fringe (or Sliders, I guess -- I've never seen it), you need to check it out. It was a pilot for SyFy that didn't get picked up and it was also incredibly terrible.

SolidSnakesBandana posted:The movie just kind of ends. They are no better off than when they started. They didn't really learn anything new about the ghost, or resolve anything. The nerd finally gets a pity gently caress which made the least sense of all to me, just bang some dude at a bar or something instead of forcing the one cool dude in the movie to gently caress some skanky hooker in order to give her a curse that she almost assuredly will get killed by. I am also constantly wondering, why not get the authorities involved since you can physically interact with this thing and its constantly showing itself? The movie's ending reminded me of the fake-out ending of the Ring (which was brilliant) except this wasn't a fake out, the movie really was just over. Didn't they make it clear that if you didn't teach the next person the rules and it killed them the curse returned to you?
