Injustice 2 - Don't know issue

As dumb parallel comic stories go, this is one of the best; and probably the single best video game tie-in comics ever produced.

Backstory - At the end of Injustice 1 Black Canary is dying after one of many long battles, Doctor Fate intervenes in a "gently caress fate" moment and drags Dinah and her son Conner Queen over to a parallel dimension where Oliver hasn't been killed by Superman. Due to ~Injustice 2 fuckery~ Ollie + Dinah are now back in the prime universe

Is Bullet Points a What-If type deal or another universe? Because that's a great story.

Infinitum
Jul 30, 2004

Gavok posted:

Yeah, Bullet Points is essentially a What If world where different characters end up with different hero identities. Steve Rogers is Iron Man, Peter Parker is Hulk, Bruce Banner is Spider-Man and Reed Richards is Nick Fury. Then there's something in there about Stephen Strange being Wolverine, but that's immediately forgotten about and JMS figures he has enough story going on that he can stop creating new hero twists.

I thought they were done with multiverse crap, or is it a one shot series?

Why is Video Game Adaptation Injustice better than mainline DC?

Because they're not beholden to the status quo, they can actually explore new and interesting ideas for characters.

If they wanted to kill off Superman/Batman/whoever permanently they could.

It's a universe with consequences.
