nasboat posted:Alright, my $255m team is done. Assuming that's the Gehrig and Foxx that actually have ratings at those positions, they'll probably be hilariously terrible, maybe even more so than a year that doesn't have a rating at all. But it has modern Bonds so gently caress yeah. Meanwhile, I think I'm entering this in an OL. Drafting the starting pitching based on hitting ability is obviously an abominably bad idea and makes this team far worse than if I'd just thrown some deadballers in there, but gently caress it, Coooooooors. Maybe we can win 50 games

AlleyViper posted:If you don't mind, maybe hold off on entering that and we can do a semi-goon rush. I know some people have some OL teams in mind they'd like to enter and it's a chance to get Groucho and some of the other people that have shown interest indoctrinated into WIS. Lol, I'm already making a different (hopefully not as horrible) team that I can enter for a rush. I'd prefer a team with that horrific of a pitching staff not be in a league full of goons to be honest.

Lol, that awful Coors team I entered got 1906 Bill Bergen in AAA. # line of 165 .181 .209 .390 ownssssss edit: Bill Bergen inspired me to throw this together As far as my silly gimmick teams go I kind of like it. Maybe I'll save it for that goon OL rush that was mentioned before Marquis de Pyro fucked around with this message at 04:57 on May 20, 2011 |

Through 4 games 2007 Bonds has 8 walks, 1 hit, and 1 strikeout. 2007 Bonds is the best Bonds.

Not surprisingly my Coors team in the OL sucks, the D-Train has a 2.3 WHIP and more importantly has sucked at the plate. What's really pissing me off though is I've actually lost a bunch of games due to poor hitting. Only '79 Kingman is really doing very well, and even that isn't anything exceptional for Coors. I wanted to lose every game 20-15, not 10-3!

200k pitchers own: http://www.whatifsports.com/slb/Boxscore.aspx?gid=14809862&pid=1&pbp=0&tf=10 This team is 8-20 despite having hit 74 homers in 28 games (disregard that like half of those came in this game)

kensei posted:Bob, your lineup reminds me of something. Do you guys not designate closers and just have a bunch of setup guys for some reason that I am just not aware of? Closers cost money or? I usually draft a bunch of good relievers, so their is just no point in having a designated closer.

I just looked through my Aaron world's team, out of every arbitration eligible player, and every MLB and minor league free agent, I have a grand total of 0 players I'd want back at any price. Man this team is going to be an abomination
