No need for PM if there are general questions that could benefit everyone. The first few days of the season are the most important of all. Even if you decide that this maybe isn't for you, at the very least, please be able to commit to managing your team through offseason activities. Failure to do so could cripple a franchise.

Big time bat with Merrick. It's funny; I didn't see Carney or most of the pitchers that went in the first half of the first round, but I see Gentry. I guess that scouting budget went to the right place!

Also, got a 92/93/93/96 current defensive SS for under $4M. Splits are bad, but both Contact and Power are over 60 with eye over 50. With that D (7+ plays at ML SS already) it's worth it.

My sucky int'l sees 96/80/80/67 with 84 durability for Mr. Meng. May top out at 80 durability but the rest should come close.

I had a HBD injury that took 18 points of range from my formerly all 90+ range/glove/arm SS. What the crap

Just had a minor leaguer in HBD string together 35 straight scoreless appearances (34.1 IP). Not half bad, son.

If any of my top picks are college players, I like to slot them into A- or A+ immediately for the better coaching, so they accelerate to the ML level. Especially with a guy like that, you want this season and 4-5 starts of next before bringing him up, I think.

Give me a team and when I never do anything with it at least you'll know why. I'm not sure this is the right attitude, but hopefully the game changes your mind. At least give it through the offseason. It's the most important part and ignoring it could royally screw a franchise for a long time.

AlleyViper posted:And it absolutely isn't the right attitude but I'm tired of people acting like the live with me and know what my day-to-day activities entail. Unless this semester goes incredibly swimmingly, or HBD requires far, far less time than I anticipate, I'm not going to have the time that I really want for it for at two more years when I graduate and I have no desire to continue to be hounded all that time. Then I'll tell you right now not to do it, because you probably won't enjoy it. And I'm sorry that you feel pressured, but this really isn't the right way to go into it. Make sure you WANT to give it a try more than you want to shut people up, because even if you don't join, I think you've made your point and stance clear to those who may not have been 100% on it already. + And I see you've purchased a season already. If you decide to not do this, you can get the money back in site credit if you ticket customer support and tell them you bought the wrong thing or something.

Virgil Lewis (Gleeman World 1) is my pride and joy. 100 career homers and counting in his age 22 season. .313/.395/.584 and 104 HR in 1,423 career ABs, .340/.430/.637 with 30 HR in 388 AB this season, his second full and third total.

Ok friends, I'm enlisting your consulting services. Draft prospects in Gleeman 2 were just released, and I have the 1st overall pick. These are the top choices as my scouting (14/14, drat 1st season limits) sees them, in no particular order: Album link My thoughts:
So.

wukkar posted:I am extremely new at WiS (20 games into my first season ), but what makes you say this? I typically think of projections for draftees within 30 points of the current control/velocity/splits as reachable (and typically they plateau at less). Even if a guy develops a bit fast, there's no chance he gains 45 points.

Draft update: Manship is currently my #1, despite trepidation about bang-for-the-buck. Biggest advantage for me is I could have a very effective ML reliever late in his 19-year-old season.

He probably won't be QUITE the hitter Egan is (and who else in the entire GAME can say that?), but he'll certainly play a more premium position, so there's value in that.
