What should you do if you don't have a cosigner? Or one with good credit? I'm estranged from my family, and my husband's family is incredibly poor. They also haven't done their taxes in years (if not decades), on top of having a bankruptcy about 2-3 years ago. We have to look into renting actual apartments and subletting out the second room because we're a couple, and a lot of the places here (college town) don't want two people sharing one room.
