Possibly some stupid questions but here goes..

How exactly does the process work for leasing through a MLS listing? I have rented only twice but it's always been through leasing offices (apartment buildings and such). I was looking to broaden my search and look beyond these through MLS.

Is it that you go through a realtor and they'll go through the process of leasing with you? How/when does the owner get involved?
