I'm not 100% happy with this but I am tired of having some kind of cold for the last four months and it's kind of out of my range so.... Cover of Susanne Sundfør, "When." Made with Avid Vocal Studio, guest starring Pikkukoira's kitten claws and Goliath's doggy toenails. https://soundcloud.com/koivunen/when-susanne-sundfor-cover Cpt. speaking of vocals youre not happy with, here's a cover that kind of sums up the way I feel I should be looking back on this year. https://soundcloud.com/narayan-14/let-it-be feel free to be as critical as gently caress

Here's my version of Nightingale by Rocco DeLuca and the Burden: https://soundcloud.com/eitoat/nightingale I'm a guitarist, and this is my first recording where I sing and play bass as well. It's also my first time publicly sharing my music, so enjoy!

I did a lovely guitar cover of "Cops and Robbers" by Casey and his brother. It's the first complete thing I've ever done and I've only been doing this for a few days so tell me what's awful about it. (mixing, etc) https://soundcloud.com/glompix/cops-and-robbers

I wasn't familiar with it, but I looked it up to see how faithful your version was and found a couple of live versions. Love what you did with the guitar, nice work.

A cover arrangement of The Doctor Who theme for string quartet; arranged in Live since I can't play any of these instruments, let alone all of them at once: https://soundcloud.com/stillvisions/dr-who-theme-arranged-for Done as a bit of a slow build rather than just cutting right to the chase of the theme.

A friend showed me that song years ago and I only now just got around to covering it, even though I learned it the day after hearing it. It's a great song, and he released a new album back in August that I haven't heard yet. Rasselas posted:I did a cover of Port of Amsterdam. Your voice is awesome, I really liked this.

Ahhh, thanks man. Means a lot to hear that. Your Nightingale cover reminds me of the movie Only Lovers Left Alive, and that sort of subdued, low, powerful soundtrack. I love that sort of mysterious passion. Rock on.

Rasselas posted:I love that sort of mysterious passion. Rock on. Thanks for the kind words, I certainly will. I'm back with another. I bought a Novation Impulse 61 a couple weeks ago, and learned and recorded a very basic cover of "Your Song" in two days. I had the song stuck in my head for weeks and figured the only way to purge it would be to buy a drat keyboard already and learn it. Doing anything beyond a simple rhythm while singing is difficult for me on any instrument, but I've found that holding notes and concentrating on my voice is easier on the piano. There's just something about singing along with a piano that's more serene than with a guitar. https://soundcloud.com/eitoat/your-song
