I was trying to get something sort of like the vocal sound the original has but without the massive compression. The main vocal is double-tracked and then there are three harmony parts which are all double-tracked as well (and panned hard left/right), then there's a little bit of distortion added to everything to increase the MGMT-ness.

Man, I haven't had a chance to do much music for ages, but I finally managed to finish this cover of my favourite song from one of my old favourite albums. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3i21G1knCk Just a simple video of the main vocals/guitar part this time.
