I saw it brought up in the last thread, but I'm gonna re-ask it here: What's the best way to make a beastmaster decent?

I played an Archer Lord for a while! (Until she got turned into a vampire and became a melee lord but that's an entirely different story.) At some point, you're gonna want a greatbow, probably. Not like right this instant but when you have a feat free. Just an FYI for the future. Also, what's the rest of your party like in terms of ranged or melee? Pin Cushion is good if you have a lot of ranged, but if you're more leaning towards Melee overall, you'll want something like Race the Arrow instead.

I'm building a Swarm Druid for AOE damage and being tanky, since my group has a lot of ranged and very little AOE. Is this a good build for it? Note: The point buy is higher than normal and the three free feats are houserules. (Focus and Expertise for free, and 1 free feat at level 1) code:

I'll try and make the AC better. I more meant in the "not-made of paper" sense, anyway. Obviously I have no dreams of being a defender, I just want to be able to take a few hits.

Isn't there a Paragon Path for Tempest Fighters based around dual wieldign Rapiers?
