Has anyone purchased any of the Third Man Live series Vinyl? What is the quality like on these? I understand that it's direct to tape. I would like to get the Jacuzzi Boys one but $15 seems a bit expensive for 6 songs or is it double sided.

It's 4 songs, pressed at 45rpm on sun orange vinyl. You can get it here:

(or just download the mp3s for free, yo).

If you live in or around NYC, stay tuned; we're having a homecoming release show when we get back from tour in early September.

Listening to the first song and am getting some Grandaddy vibes + and lots of other stuff, but this is really good man! Probably going to buy a copy.

Finally got a bunch of records (most I've listened to but loved too much not to have)

Kurt Vile - Smoke Ring For My Halo
Washed Out - Within & Without < came on sweet lightblue vinyl
Jeff The Brotherhood - We Are The Champions
Deerhoof - Friendly Opportunity Reissue
Deerhoof - Milkman Reissue
The Dutchess & The Duke - S/T
Destroyer - Kaputt
Grandaddy - Sophtware Slump reissue/remaster < sounds fantastic!

Is it OK to post download codes? I see other people have and I already have mp3s of most of these.

I also can't wait to pick up all 3 of the Grandaddy reissues myself. The first two are two of my favorite albums, and the third is a lot better than it gets credit for.

Sent and here's the rest of them.

Mr. Stepmom,

Just chiming into say that it's awesome and I am also jealous of you working for DFA. I just ordered the YACHT - Shangri-La vinyl today. Pumped to see the packaging.

Got my Girls - Father, Son, Holy Ghost LP in today. Excellent record and having one of the vinyls white and one black is a nice touch. Also came with a flexi-disc vinyl which I've never had the pleasure of playing before. It's a little harder to get the needle on the square.

My Best Buy purchases arrived today (aside from the one that was on backorder), and the package was hella secure, so no damage. I'm impressed at how fast they got to me, I wasn't expecting them until next week.

Same for me. Packed secure, both records came sounding great and free two day shipping. Hell of a deal.

I just looked at a different board for this. To get the shipping to unfuck itself, add another item. A 0 dollar gift card or a dollar pin will work. For whatever reason, doing that will give you proper shipping options. Go!

Did this. Went through. Hopefully this works! Thanks!

On another note I went to the only record store I think we have in Baton Rouge and they didn't have much except for The Flaming Lips thing. I really wanted to get Destroyer - Rubies.

Not sure if it will come to release in America, but it's currently $30.

Also, if anyone wants to sell the Destroyer - Rubies (RSD) to me that would be dope.

There's a new vinyl sale service called Vinyl Loop that is selling new albums by The Walkmen, Tallest Man On Earth, and The Mynabirds for $15 free shipping + a bonus free LP.

On an unrelated note, how hot does it have to be temp wise for vinyl to warp. The upstairs AC died and it's like 86 degrees there where my vinyl is, but I read that moving it to a drastic temp change (downstairs) could do more damage. Thoughts?

Speaking of not getting an order, has anyone by chance ordered the Coolrunnings LP and not received it?

I ordered in it late May and nothing has arrived. I've emailed the band several times without a reply. I'm also past the 45 days to do a meaningful paypal dispute. This is my first time getting totally stiffed on the internet and it kinda sucks that it happens to be by a small band I actually wanted to support.

I was a part of the Kickstarter to get the LP pressed and it was thought to ship in February..then March..then didn't hear anything until I pestered the singer on Twitter (@BRAND0NBI0ND0) and finally got it around May. The dude/band really needed some business guy to help him with shipping out LPs. II thought the LP was great and loved the band, but after following the singer on twitter and hearing his dumb rants, I lost a bit of respect for him and the band. I think COOLRUNNINGS is dead now anyways as the singer is now going under a new less name, Shy Boy. Sucks.

It's Lace Curtains' debut (Coomers from Harlem's side project.) He put 3 tracks out as free mp3s and they're all great but I can't quite bring myself to buy it ($15 but I guess shipping to the UK will be alot.) Also I haven't got a good turntable/hi-fi setup right now.

Anyway if anyone does get it I'd be interested to know what it's like.

Big fan of Harlem and was wondering when something new out of that group would come out. Thanks for this, stuff sounds awesome.
