Woah, $2.20 is dirt cheap. Thats 20 cents more than what the Goodwills around here charge for one record. Well theres the Goodwill bins which charge by the pound but if you think you're going to find anything good there you're sorely mistaken.

Went to goodwill today, picked upa first press of the Isley bros twist and shout LP, which is rare apparently? In all right condition considering it's 49 years old. Also got Mexican presses of 5th Dimension and Ventures 7"s in mint condition, which is weird since they're from goodwill.

Instant funk - witch doctor
Some German heavy metal flex

Found a couple of upgrades not pictured plus some new releases (Stone Coal White, Father's Children). A couple of those are local finds, but I haven't had the chance to dig in the last couple of weeks. Bruce Haack and Joe McPhee turned up at an antique store in a tiny mountain town nearby (pop 2,300) that I was driving through after going to a friend's cabin. Definite weird find, hopefully something as good turns up next week.

I'm looking to lighten up my collection by a couple thousand records and I'm trying to figure out the best sales site to use.

I've got 80s-90s punk, hardcore (nyhc, powerviolence, crust), ambient/experimental, harsh noise, a big collection of 70s-80s funk 45s, old school NY hip hop.. kinda all over the map but a lot of stuff on smaller labels that might not add up to instant ebay sales.

Amazon takes (if I'm getting this right) 33% on a $10 music sale. Gemm has a flat 13% fee, and I'm thinking I will set up shop there. I hear Gemm can be slow for making sales but maybe the stuff I have will take time to sell anyway.

Have any of you sold largish amounts of vinyl online?

The noise and industrial will sell like hot cakes on eBay. The punk too probably . When you do sell em post the link in here I'd love to see what you got

Got a big Ol box of 90s hardcore 7"s from a coworker for $20. I'm pretty sure it was all the poo poo he couldn't make a profit on on eBay, since that's pretty much his second source of income, but there's some cool poo poo mixed with all the no name screamo bandstand garage pink. Highlights include some Policy of 3, Iconoclast, Inkwell, and a Man is the Bastard split. Plus some band I've never heard of that sounds like Mineral but slightly more subdued.

I'm down to trade since I knowna few of y'all are into that kind of thing. I'll post my discogs when I get em all in there.

Here's a link to where 7"s start on my duscogs. Because I am stupid I cant figure out how to show y'all jut what I'm trying to get rid of, so you'll just have to look past all the $.50 singles and find something piques your interest. Email me at hitlersmotorcycle at gmail dot com

Brian Eno produced their first album and played the clarinet. Here's their version of "Also Sprach Zarathustra" (which you've probably heard by now):

So my record fair was today and it was pretty excellent. Vendors did well, I made as much as I spent, which is all I really ask for.

I bought mostly surf poo poo but a few others

LPs:
The Challengers - Wipe Out!
a comp on flyright called "chicken stuff houston ghetto blues" featuring Hop Wilson, Big Walter and Juke Boy Bonner
The T-Bones - Everyone's Gone to the Moon
The Marketts - the Batman Theme
Soul Survivors - WHen the Whistle Blows, Anything Goes

45s:
Aaron Neville - Spaceman / She Took You For a Ride
Googie Rene & his Combo - Break It Up / Side-Track
Googie Rene & his Combo - Wiggle-Tail pts 1 and 2
The Rhythm Kings - Those Lonely Lonely Nihts / Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu
The Popcorns - Zero-Zero / Chinese Twist
Rocking Bros. - Behind The Sun / Rock-It (KIILLER guitar in an otherwise New Orleans R&Bish record)
Sonny Hall - Poor Planet Earth / The Battle for the Moon (weird semi-country)
Matt Lucas - I'm Moving On / My Heavenly Angel
Jimmie & the Night Trippers - Cruising / Night Hop
The Strangers - Young Maggie / Boogie Man

The thing was, the day before I dropped by a friend's place who decided he wasn't going to sell. Probably did just as well if not better

Nearly all of these 75 cents:
The Allisons - Surfer Street / Money (Surfer Street is one of the coolest girl group numbers I've heard in a WHILE)
The Exports - Seat Belts Please / Car Hop
Little Willie Littlefield - Easy Go / Ruby-Ruby
The Dixiebelles - Southtown USA / Why Don't You Set Me Free (not their best but they're great. Sorta sloppy girl-hollerin')
The Nite Riders - Six Button Benny / Apple Cider
The Surfaris - Dune Buggy / Boss Baracuda
Classie Ballou - Dream Love / Hey Pardner! (great Louisiana blues/instrumental)
Guitar Gable - Congo Mombo / Life Problem
Plus LPs - Clarence Gatemouth Brown - Alright Again
Osibisa
Roy Head - Treat me Right (compilation)
Earl King - THose Lonely, Lonely Nights (compilation on Ace)

All in all plenty to listen to

Still going through photos but this one gives an OK idea

Somehow my chef gave me the day of our biannual record show off. And I get paid they day before, gonna blow like half that drat thing there.

In other news I got OG press of Current 93's Earth Covers Earth yesterday and it is beautiful, despite the big smudge/scrape thing on the first track (totally not NM, rear end in a top hat).
