I received this in the mail today. It's a fun listen so far. It reminds me a bit of Plantasia in a way, it's playful.

I'm seeing Bear Vs Shark for the 20th anniversary celebration (😓) of Right Now, You're In The Best Of Hands... in Detroit on Saturday and I'm hoping they'll have some records at the merch booth.

ah poo poo why didn't I know about this, I'd kill for a copy of Terrorhawk. Would have loved to make it to that show, i'm like 15 minutes away, but pretty broke atm, plus some other issues. Have a great time!!

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to it. I never thought I'd be able to see them live.

I am shocked that there are still tickets available according to the site, a few years ago their tickets sold out quick.

Since this is the official Sleepytime Gorilla Museum thread, I get to announce I got tickets for March and I am excited to see how old they look. I think probably 20 years since the last time I saw them.

Big Ears?

well I did something cool I hosted a vinyl night at a local bar where I set up two turntables and a mixer and brought about 40 records and encouraged people to bring in their own. I honestly did not expect anyone to but a bunch of people did! so my "set" was like 40% random poo poo people took with them, which was good because I kind of ran out of things to play by the end! (it was 4 hours though) all the stuff that was brought owned too, I got two King Gizzard records and they both ruled, some weird Fripp & Summers insane disco thing (??), Kraftwerk's Radioactivity, a Hall & Oates cut that actually was good, a random blues record which was okay but something I could mix out of, and some other stuff I forgot about. I am pretty sure I made some transitions that have never been made before in human history

Nice! That sounds like a blast.

A Hall & Oates cut that’s actually good? Isn’t that almost all of them?

Not gonna lie, you had me in the first half.

ok so I'm on discogs and:

Why would someone buy this for $1, not to mention $25 shipped?

Why would someone bother posting this for sale to begin with! At least they're being honest?

I'd like to get the Groove Armada 'White Light's lp.

I am also curious if the Nightmares On Wax 'Carboot Soul' 25th anniversary edition will still have the same pixelated cover.

apparently Beth Gibbons has a new album coming out in a few months up for pre-order? And the CD seems to come with a signed card, so anyone into Portishead/Out of Season should get that because the promo track sounds real good

also a remastered Roseland NYC Live is due this year too

shaping up to be a great year for trip hop fans already

Nice, I'd love to see her do a collaboration with Beak>

so how did it go

Thank you for asking. It went perfectly, 70 degrees and sunny and was set up on the patio. I played for 6 hours, and I am really glad that I decided to cue up Dark Side of the Moon's Brain Damage and Eclipse when totality hit. It was a really special event and I received so many compliments afterwards. :3:
