My mate and I from Australia will be over in Las Vegas from the 6th to the 9th of July. We are both 24 and will be backpacking. We're trying to decide whether to book rooms at the Imperial Palace due to it being dirt cheap or whether we should book into a hostel off the strip. We're not tight arses and will be drinking and gambling, but we aren't interested in going to exclusive clubs, table service etc. due to our limited budget. With that being said, would we be better off staying at a hostel and meeting other backpackers or go to the Imperial Palace and try our luck with meeting people in the casinos and not-so-exclusive bars? Awesome, thanks for the feedback guys! Just booked a room at the Imperial Palace. I've enjoyed reading all the negative reviews for it - people expecting $25 a night to be 5 star.
