Downtown rules. The Griffin is slightly outside of the main downtown area (Fremont Street Experience). But if you're going over to that area, you may as well go across the street from the Griffin to Insert Coin(s).

We are planning on staying downtown for our yearly Vegas trip after spending the last two mostly downtown. I think the only reason we'll leave downtown this time is to see Big Elvis at Bill's, and possibly hit the Double down/Hofbrauhaus near the Hardrock.

We've been going to Frankie's Tiki room for our non-casino bar drinking in the downtown area. Anywhere else you would recommend?

Thanks, these are good suggestions and places I would certainly go to regularly, but any suggestions perhaps a tick up in the swankness factor? Seeing as this will be the grooms main meal.

We did dinner at the Hofbräuhaus across from the Hard Rock for a friends bachelor party, and it was a pretty good time.

Going next week and staying over St Patrick's day. Is there anything somewhat interesting aside from NYNY or the general downtown area that you guys would recommend?

We may go see Flogging Molly at the Cosmopolitan, last time I went to a concert there was at the Book and Stage to see Electric Six, which was interesting because as far as I could tell there were maybe like two-three dozen fans there to see them mixed in with the Cosmopolitan on a Saturday night crowd.

What's the crowd like there?

Generally larger groups, it doesn't get too rowdy but on most nights there is a German band and they do stein holding contests and the like on weekend nights.

The food is good, portions are large, and the beer is delicious but a bit pricy.

Need a recommendation for bachelor party dinner 15-20 people at a mid-high price range. Not interested in any Asian food places. Thanks

Had a friends bachelor party dinner at Hofbrauhaus and it was a lot of fun.
