I'm going to spend the weekend in Vegas in a couple of weeks, and I'm wondering about activities/shows/shopping etc. What are good areas for shopping (looking for upscale clothes, electronics and hiking gear)? What are good clubs for picking up girls, or what other places are good for meeting people who want to party? I've heard that the first weekends of December in Las Vegas are the worst of the year, because it's mostly empty and many of the shows are on hiatus/retooling. Is there any accuracy to that?
