Ben UFO's Rinse mix is a lot more house-y than I thought it would be. It's really good, though, so check it out. High hopes for Elijah and Skilliam's! Here's the latest Big Narstie track: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-uQssbv3dI D'Explicit on the buttons and I really like the beat. Or, as Gamest Mook notes, it sounds like a 2007 dubstep beat. As a side note, I don't notice a whole lot of fat dudes in grime

Kuedo aka Jamie Vex'd has a new LP out on Planet Mu and I like it. It borrows heavily from Blade Runner and Vangelis at points, but I love that OST so I'm fine with it. He gets in on the juke trend, too, which works on the album. It's worth at least a listen, I think, unless you hate the "wonky" or whatever sound.

It's kind of annoying that I can't listen to some shows that stream from the UK because of restrictions, but whatever. I don't remember if BBC is part of this or if it's just Kiss FM. Anyways, I was wondering where he went to, but TRC has a new EP out called Leak EP that's got some nice instrumentals: 155 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ftko3eRRTMg Hardest Hustle - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOhlBimoIpI&feature=related Sex - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRrLgVj4rD0&feature=related Preditah also has a new EP out called Eightsome that I haven't listened to, but I imagine I've heard all the tracks on Rinse over the past several months.

28 Gun Bad Boy posted:So Damu's first LP quietly sneaked out today on Blackdown's Keysound Recordings label and it's sounding pretty decent. Definitely fits into that Joy O/Koreless/Jacques Greene kind of sound, so fans of those give it a go. The album also utilises the Keysound/Blackdown Grime players rotodex and pulls in Trim to do vocals on a track too. I listened to this today and I really love the wide range of sounds on it. The kettle drum sounds on L.O.V.E. are awesome.

Honestly, I liked the Joker album a lot. Some of the vocals on it were iffy, but the instrumentals were strong. Also, if you haven't you should give the new Myrryrs EP a listen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hu6fxWPkJEU

Hey, get the new Hackman release everyone, it's really cool! I also really like the new Kromestar EP, it's on a different hype. I should also point out that that bass music release site is a complete life saver. Not only are they compiling the releases, but now they've added links to previews saving me like 30 minutes of searching for each week.

Did anyone check out the Slugabed EP? Some reviews described it as instrumental hiphop but I don't really see how that comes across. It's definitely very wonky/glitchy and something about it really resonates with me, though I"m not sure exactly what. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WRkLEqfR2EE and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_CMwUDPYVM

This Matty G Back TO The Bay EP is really good, lots of deep vibes but can also get ruff when needed. Good example of an American producer doing it right. Also has a Matty G remix of a Subscape tune. Additionally, I finally checked out the MikeQ Fade To Mind release and while I don't feel all the tracks, WOW do some of them blister, especially The Blaster Master and its remixes.

Tinchy Stryder released a free EP yesterday: http://soundcloud.com/takeover/sets/tinchy-stryder-the-wish-list/ It's not outstanding but a lot of the tracks have interesting production, in my opinion. Also, I liked Ghetts verses, but then again I'm apparently in the minority of people who like Ghetts.

Oh, has anyone heard rumors of who will do the next Rinse mix? I'd like to see Gabe Heatwave get a shot, but he never seems to play at the big Rinse events so I odn't know if he's tight with management or not. Vectra is my second choice, but I don't think they'd do another grime mix right after E+S. MA1 is my realistic choice, I guess.

Bleh, there are some things I'm interested in on that tracklist, but Mark Radford's show is always a bit of a snoozer for me. I'll give it a listen, but this may go the way of Kismet's mix for me.

It's kind of funny how living in different timezones affects perception of shows. Like MA1 is always hanging out in the afternoon or going to the gym for me. I'll usually turn off Radford's show after that because I'm not looking to get down to that sound at 3 PM on a Saturday.

Hm, apparently Skream and Benga are touring the US this spring. While I don't particularly care if I see either of them DJ, Jackmaster and Plastician will be opening for them and I think I might drop $25 to see those two.

28 Gun Bad Boy posted:$25 (which is what? £15?) for all 4 is pretty drat good. And say what you will be I've always had a good time whenever I've seen Skream and Benga, nevermind Jackmaster and Plast. Of course last time I saw Skream was when Lemon was always the opener, so what do I really know. Yeah. I'm really interested to see how this tour is received. I believe last time Benga toured the US, he was backed up with a lot of really bro-y dudes like Noisia and other poo poo. As far as I know, Skream + Benga play a lot of really bro stuff, but not on the same level. Also, I am interested to see how Jackmaster is received. Jakes is part of the bill, too, and I didn't realize he DJd.
