Im halfway through the series, about to start Storm of Swords (I think its called) and I am enjoying them, thank you very much. To the above Varys question: I am wondering the same thing. I think hes just one of those people who loves to have their hand in everything, and has discovered that he can be useful doing just that. If I had to describe him, Id say hes out for the advancement of himself and no one else.
