Mulatto Butts posted:Tuyop we're not talking about an absolute can't here. Conceivably someone would be able to pull this sort of endeavor off. Tuyop, I hate to break this to you but building a house is significantly more difficult than changing your Canadian Government MyAccount password or filing your taxes on time. Baby steps, honey.

tuyop posted:Good call, that example is absolute evidence of my complete inability to do anything difficult in life. I should really work on silly, unnecessary bureaucratic inconveniences before I, like, get a degree or lead a dismounted fighting patrol after not sleeping for 96 hours, clearly. Oh wait. Um yeah and filing your taxes aren't a bureaucratic inconvenience. That's why the government penalizes you (not even "you" in the abstract, editorial sense here either, they have literally penalized you, Tuyop) if you don't.

Look, I hate to be this person, but, uh, there is a huge part of our country where people with little education are falling rear end-backwards into money, you know. My little brother (he's 21) dropped out of a trade school 2 years ago and has been selling BASIL in southern Ontario since then and just got shipped off to cap fracking wells and is really enjoying it. It doesn't sound like it's much better than Nunavut or places like that, but it is something. My fiance got an offer to go be an engineer out there for some insane amount of money and we both objected because of, you know, the environmental catastrophe that the Tar Sands cause (and we're really lucky to have jobs in Toronto), but it may work for you, especially if you're willing to do everything you've listed.

DoctorTristan posted:Oh, definitely - I'm just saying we should not automatically assume Tuyop is manic simply because he's doing things that any other person would find bizarre or repulsive. Yeah but also, maybe he should tell his therapist he's considering using his own waste for lawn fertilizer. Then we'll see what not "medically significant."

Wait so where does the, um, human to bucket transfer take place? Do you go outside? Is it an outhouse? That's going to be chilly. Surely not in your abode???? Is this covered in the manual?

Yeah, I always wonder if there's a reason we invented our way out of composting our poo poo. Is it the Plumbing Industrial Complex coercing us though?

tuyop posted:I read novels and nonfiction all day and I'm relatively content with that. It's just infuriating whenever I have to write a memo or email, find out where a building is, get a phone number or hours for a government office, or want to watch a movie or do pretty much anything that isn't read a book or exercise (like sort out my wedding in August ). I get it done, sure, it's just really not ideal or so much work that it's not worth it. 1) Library card. You had a lot of um diverse interests, if I recall? Growing "plants" and self composting and whatever? Get into that. Take out every book you can and cultivate a competency in your interest that will serve you later. Also, libraries usually have computers? 2) You actually don't need a phone to track things. Honest to God old fashioned paper college ruled notebooks work just as well and you can enter the data later when you have a more steady income.

Seriously, though, you can get the Nexus 4 and a light, portable, Netbook (that will let you write your term papers, assignments, etc) for significantly less that just the cost of a MBA (which you'd still have to carry around external storage for). http://www.factorydirect.ca/Categories/8/Computers___Laptops/Netbooks

It'll stop tuyop, once you get okay with yourself. I've been kind of a poo poo to you but I've struggled with anxiety and panic disorders myself, in the same way you've struggled with your conditions. I think the two are very closely correlated. I think if you can start valuing yourself enough to deal with some of your psychological issues, you'll see this subside.
