Yeah, the multimedia-stuff was kind of funny at first, but if I want to read a webcomic, I don't really want to play weird interactive games. So in my case, all that stuff is less an added bonus and more an obnoxious obstacle I have to clear. But eh, right now it looks like this comic is dead like so many other abandoned webcomics, so I guess this discussion has become pointless, sadly.

It's not dead because Kazerad is too busy viciously beating its broken body behind the curtain to let it die. He swears he'll bring it back on stage any day now, though. There are webcomics that are a lot worse about updates. Outsider has been going since 2001, and it's only up to 112 pages, in a completely static jpeg comic page format. That kind of sounds like a half-decent rate if it were steady, but they had a 26-month lull between two pages not too long ago, among other previous similar stretches.

I liked some of the multimedia stuff, but after a bit it does get to a point where he should probably just make some normal updates. But then, we should probably accept that there just isn't going to be an update, just like there won't be a Winds of Winter.

Not really. It's been more "big rises and little falls that can be overcome"' for a while now, which is more fun anyway, and basically how any narrative arc works. The months long hiatus part is dead on though.
