MotU posted:There is a list of goals called Titles that you get points for after clearing a game. You get points for beating the game, getting different endings, maxing Fate with companions and also harder goals like never using Free Battles or having no unit leaders die. Points are cumulative between playthroughs. You can select various bonuses like keeping all Cracked Skills, transferring over demons, removing the EXP scaling, removing the fusing limit, and Compendium discounts, plus some optional bosses that will show up if you use your points on them. Oh, right. I heard they did something like that for Overclocked too. That's a pretty interesting mechanic - I wonder why more games don't try it.

I mean, so far the only time I had trouble was with fights specifically intended to fake you out, and prior to that I played riskier than I should have. I am talking about the Day 4 Septentrione, of course.

Momomo posted:Beating him brings out the next big bad who splits into two parts. Said parts can form back into one again to replenish their HP and MP fully. Not beating both fast enough will result in the one left over to magically form back into two. Oh, also you have to protect Ronaldo's stupid rear end from getting killed. They replenish your health and you can relocate skills and stuff, but you can not save between these two fights. It's like they're trying to piss you off. Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold up. The two halves reforming does not replenish his HP. I know this for a fact because Ronaldo and my MC murdered him with Drain a couple of turns after he'd reformed, and no way we could do that with a full HP Phecda.

For the final boss on the AO path, I made a booboo and assigned my all-important Phys Repel to the one guy who could not actually damage the last boss at all. Still won, because Daichi + Multihit/Strike + Drain Hit + Pierce is a gamebreaker.

I recall Benny being a really easy fight. The 'second form' was pretty cool, though. Then again I abused Movement skills to get rid of his support in the first available turn, so I still had backup waiting at the start point when he summoned reinforcements.

Don't worry about exp. Seriously. The game is very generous in terms of letting idle members keep up in levels. Also, in Devil Survivor, specialists beat out generalists. Focus on one offense stat to pump, and throw a few points in Def/Agi (unless you want to build an Agi-Phys MC, in which case Agi and Phys get equal screentime.)
