Does anyone know why the hell a Winged Twilight would cause my fps to plummet to near zero, even on a fresh install?

You get armor from killing and/or vault raiding, not buying! I've never really looked at vendor inventories, only how much gold they have to give me. Usually seems to be crap all over, certainly noting compared to dungeon and quest loot.

Ok so I looked at the readme for BTB's spells addon and he made a lot of the spell effects unavailable in the spellmaker and unavailable for enchanting. Does anyone know if there is an alternate form of this mod that has all the effects available, or do I need to open up the construction set and figure out how to change all these effects back? I can't play this game unless I abuse the gently caress out of it.

It's real easy to change whatever in the construction set, BTB has a lovely readme which details all the changes.

I always read this thread and get that Morrowind urge. Then I get close to reinstalling and remember cliff racers and roughly 15 mods just to make the game playable. I guess with openmw I can go through that and have a much more stable game? I just want to get to Vivec and rob the Telvanni vaults. :shobon:

Guild quests are all fetch quests and kill rats/kwamas as I recall them. Probably some escort stuff too, to make it even worse.

After doing the new bathrooms, I spent like an hour making a mesh for a poop stick. And then after placing the poop stick, I realized there was no way to tell your poop stick from anyone elses. So I wrote a non-quest where your apprentice accidentally uses your poop stick, because it wasn't labled, so he buys you a new poop stick that says, "Property of the Archmagister. Do not Touch on Pain of Death." So of course I had to spend another hour retexturing my poop stick into a fancier poop stick with that poo poo actually written on it in gold lettering.

So dammit, I turned it into a weapon to make all that sleep-deprive-induced bullshit worthwhile. It does no damage, but does a demoralize cast-on-strike, because who wouldn't run from someone brandishing a possibly poop-covered sponge-on-a-atick.

Every time I look in on this thread the urge to play grows, this pushed me over the edge! Will the future 3.x -> 4 upgrade work on old save games, or should I hold off for a while?

Have you installed the 4gb patch? Because that's usually what does it. If you have, restore a backup of the exe, apply the code patch and then install the 4gb patch.

Only now you don't need to do this anymore, 4gb patch is included.

Bonewalkers are a great menace and you probably need to cast restore strength.
