I had the same thing happen. Got a notification last night about the new version but canceled because I couldn't do it then. And now it says I'm up to date.

I switched tab groups since I tend to use a ton of tabs and it shot up 100. So for me it is a little leaner, but not by much. Still less than 1gb for me though. And that's with about 20-30 tabs on each tab group.
