I think if we trying to help remotely we might also need an inventory of available tools and materials.

gently caress no not sycamores, you're not allowed to plant them anywhere near buildings here the roots are so destructive. There's 5 alongside our house (built after the trees grew) and I spend an ungodly amount of time pulling seedlings out of everywhere every year.

I watched someone review something on YouTube the other day where the fuse in the plug not only wasn't connected in the circuit, but wasn't even a real fuse (technically it would have fused at some amperage but probably not any where near what was on the label).

Why the gently caress would anyone make a fake fused plug!? With a fake fuse in it! :psypop:

Plugs are standard parts, fuses cost less than pennies, surely making an improperly wired fake like this is significantly more effort than just following the standard?

Because they can make this fake part for 4p cheaper

I assumed metal plate to be rigid enough, but given the thread...you're probably right :v:

Edit: looks like the hand rail brackets are welded (no bolts showing through)

Construction adhesive, gotcha.

I wanted to find an ultra slim fridge (40cm wide or 16") but no luck

The market for that would be you and you alone, the thickness of the insulation won't change so your 40cm wide fridge ends up with a 25-ish cm wide cavity inside, but it'll cost more to produce (smaller production runs = higher unit cost). I'm sure you knew that bit though.

Out of interest what's your use case for the slenderfridge?

I got this narrow space behind my office chair I thought would make a good spot for additional cold storage. And I could keep beers there, just have to reach over behind me.

Well I went googling and found some 350mm "drinks fridge"s with glass doors and compressors, most of what comes under "mini fridge" either doesn't tell you how it's powered or is peltier. Looks like you can get what you're after so I take it back.

E: also products at the 250mm and 150mm widths

I guess I can see it, wooden butter knives are traditional here, but mostly people use metal utensils so I don't get it.

Now I don't use either. I slice butter the same way I slice cheese:

The best butter knives are made out of juniper and bought from an outdoors market stall, but you almost never have to because that one knife lasts forever.

I bought a real nice wooden cheese knife for my dad a couple of years ago and he started making his own as a hobby until he remembered be was supposed to be rebuilding a classic car. Much like him in not sure where I'm going with this.
