full size pianos have a gently caress off huge iron slab and the rest is of minimal value if it's damaged/worn, especially if the pin block is shot. the iron and its ability to hold a tune are the only valuable parts.

Collateral Damage posted:At least they can fix it easily, just put another board down on top and have the most overbuilt stairs in the neighborhood. best explanation i saw for this was the builder hosed up the measurements so the rise was too small, so instead of cutting new stringers they did this. I do think it's easily salvageable with bracing on the underside as well as risers. I think the design is visually interesting at least, and apparently well constructed even if done wrong.
