Doesn't garbage disposals create a huge rat problem in the city due to all the foodscraps being flushed down?
Never had one, and dumping food into the sink drain here is frowned upon because of said rats then getting food. Norway if it matters.

You guys realize even if you completely destroy the edge on your knife it takes like an hour tops to sharpen it yeah? Unless you got a wooden handled knife, which I really hope you wouldn't. Like your knife isn't going to warp in the wash, it's gonna get knocked around and the abrasive detergent might wear down the blade, but it's very simple to put the edge back on it.

Wait, it's easy enough that I can probably do it? I got a couple of knives that need sharpening, but that poo poo cost money, and I don't trust those things you can buy in the store to run your knife through.

Here's some content from my neighbourhood, at some point there was a large tree here and the telecom company anchored their lines to it. Then at some point the tree was cut down. Instead of re-running the lines and anchoring them to the utility pole a few feet away they just ran a rope between a big chunk of wood and the pole. So this person has this chunk of wood "floating" 20' above their yard.

You got my hope up, I thought that was a wasp-nest somehow :(

Is that really an old fireplace?
Why would you light a fire right next to your TV, molding, a cable that goes through it something, the pet bed and and and

The thing that gets me about it is that if they'd actually walled in that space properly, then probably people would think a combination of "the ceiling in the stairwell is a little low" and "oh! a bed nook, neat!" It'd still be a weird apartment, but it wouldn't be an indefensibly weird one.

At the bare minimum, they could have added some storage solution under the bed where there is just wasted space now. Some deep drawers or something.
