Also, Bold Robot is deeply brown and I love that SA made it so that going to the show *solo* didn’t have me going to the show *alone*.

:respek: The boys were on fire last night. Gener even only flubbed the lyrics like twice. Glad you got to experience that for your first show. See you Sunday!

I’m not in DC nor did I go to the shows…..

That said last weekend I was in a pool in Mexico and these two dudes saw my Boognish tattoo, came up, chatted to me about the band, and left me with a joint.

May or may not be there Sunday. I had to drag my cousin out of the theatre and stop him from driving home. I finally understand what it is to be not mad, but dissapointed.

Man Ween came to me at the perfect time of my life for it. I was 17yo, had just discovered weed and acid and was seriously going off the rails on it (no regrets, I had a great time for a bunch of years before deciding to adult up.) and out comes fucken "Push the little daisys" randomly ripping up the charts in Australia sometime around 92 or 93 (and apparently nowhere else). It was like "gently caress! This is music for going off the rails on weed and acid!". And that lovely little thrash band I was in suddenly got a lot more psychedelic. (Admittedly I also discovered Frank Zappa around then too. Which seriously widened my horizons for how weird, stupid and occasionally brilliant music can be)

yeah, i think the album is an absolutely masterpiece of production, but these are still super neat to hear!

the crossfades between the high- and low-formant vox on I'm Dancing in the Show Tonight are much more obvious which is cool because i was pretty sure that's how it worked (as opposed to automation) but it's blended so well on the album that it's a little hard to hear it happen. i'm glad they lowered the percussion on Polka Dot Tail, but i do kinda like how present the snare is against the toms on Golden Eel. the alternate pattern on the distorted guitars in I'll Be Your Johnny on the Spot is really interesting and i'm really curious whether they rerecorded it or just cut and pasted what they had for the final version. i miss the Jimmy Wilson talking bit, and song just doesn't feel right without it.

thanks for sharing, harminoff!

Worked with Arin over at Ween Archive to set up a 24/7 rare ween radio. We are working on getting tracklists to show as well.

Stream is available here!

I also did make one for live recordings however music archive tracks don't have meta data for the info I need so it didn't have any dates/track names and I pulled it offline :(

Taking a buddy and his wife to both nights of the AC shows and the lady I’m seeing is also joining.

This band is nuts, I don’t know a lot of people who are familiar with them but if I send them a few songs they’re like “gently caress it, I’ll go”.

Please can you post the original res! These are 640x640 and it's criminal

Edit: Found the original res, which is 1024x1024, still not great but it's better

Oh good. I posted the linked thumbnails. I think 1024 is as good as Dall-e outputs right now.
