Here's from Lollapalooza this year. He's gotten thin again but I hope thats on account of him wanting to lose it and not drugs.

Poor Gener :(. Why couldn't you age to be a middle aged fisherman like Deaner :(.

Gene's addiction was benzos and alcohol right? That tends to make you gain weight, not lose it. As for the video of them playing Spinal Meningitis, what did you expect? It's a weird song and he sings it in a very bizarre, off-putting voice. That's what Ween has always been about.

Did you even watch the video or any others from that night? He messes up lyrics on a bunch of songs, can't play on time on some others, spends an entire song tuning his guitar, and lays down for another. There is no denying that he was beyond gone. Thankfully he is looking healthy again, and the 3 day show sounded amazing.

Just watched some of the other videos and yeah, fair enough. Not sure if this is a legal question but do you have access to any of the 3-night run bootlegs? Mods: please delete this if it's too :files:

Just found out about them breaking it up. It makes me sad, I've associated so much of my life with certain songs of theirs. Have this.

That same show also has the most mind-blowing Zeppelin cover I've ever seen

Haha... I'd actually gladly pay to see Wayne Coyne replace Gener as the vocalist, even though I know he'd have a lot of trouble hitting the notes. I just like Wayne that much.

Have you ever seen The Flaming Lips live? Wayne can't hit the notes on his own songs, watching him try to do some of Ween's poo poo would be ear-raping

Ouch. Right on the heels of Aaron's massive clusterfuck comes a likely successful tour by Mickey. Spite?

Aaron leaving the band abrubtly does not mean that Mickey should stop doing music. He's a true musician and wants to keep doing his poo poo. More power to him, he was what tied Ween together in the first place..

Sounds like the ween process all right (record a bunch and condense instead of just working on a set amount of tracks) I was wondering if Deaner (are we calling him Miggy now?) was going to do the singing on his album, and it looks like he is. I can't wait for this.

What songs did Deaner do vocals on other than Piss Up A Rope and The Blarney Stone? I know there were others but Gene's voice is so nuts that I believe anything.

And gently caress it, he's Deaner forever to me.

I just hope his new group leans more toward Ween, and less toward Moistboyz. It'll be sweet seeing that lineup live.

I'd be surprised if he'll tour with that full lineup, I'm guessing it'll just be Ween minus Gene

It sounds like it's about Aaron's transformation from Gene Ween into somebody new.

Deaner got interviewed by Bam Margera?

They just kinda shoot the poo poo, it's pretty cool even though Bam Margera is a huge douche.

Oh. I figured the "it'll be released soon" meant it was actually recorded in August.

We'll see. I hated Marvelous Clouds/kinda hate Gene for how he went about all of this so I haven't been following him- is he doing any solo shows? any interviews?

Edit ... I take that back this is cool. Gener will be performing the music of Rocky Horror Picture Show this week.

yeah, when Ween broke up all I wanted was for them to split ways and cover music from a crappy 70s flick.

I'd prefer caddy commentary on crappy music
