 Ween, undoubtedly my favorite band has recently release a two disk set of unreleased b-sides and rarities that are from 2001-2003 during the Quebec sessions. If you have someone never heard of ween, you are really missing out. They have a very wide range of songs, and a very nice catalog of music starting from their teen years when they started as a two piece with a drum machine. They also are one of the few bands that I know of that have practicably every show recorded by fans and available freely online. They also have released a lot of b-sides tapes for free, which I love and wish other bands would do the same. They haven't released much in the last few years, but recently surprised everyone with this new two disk set. I'm enjoying this immensely and recommend everyone to check it out. Thankfully he is looking healthy again, and the 3 day show sounded amazing.

Well let me just tell you that both "Jean" (the song in the video) and Marvelous Clouds are both Rod McKuen songs. The whole thing wasn't canceled, just a few dates that didn't sell well. I also think that ticket sales might pick up now that he changed it to "songs from ween and Marvelous Clouds" as I think most people thought that it would only be Marvelous clouds material.

Sounds like the ween process all right (record a bunch and condense instead of just working on a set amount of tracks) I was wondering if Deaner (are we calling him Miggy now?) was going to do the singing on his album, and it looks like he is. Some songs had "??????" in some spots where I guess they didn't even know what the gently caress they themselves were singing. Man those sound better than I thought that they would. Awesome to have a good copy of "Going to the Beach" and "I Like You" He has been uploading a lot of great stuff. Too bad his youtube account got shut down as it had some great stuff on it as well. The recent post was a video from oddville direct from someone who worked on the show. I would love to see some full episodes of that show, it was great. Also live video of Jelly from Trenton 1987 and Rocky Mountain Way in 92.

Ween has always been just Dean and Gene for me and the stuff with just them is all I can really watch live. I guess it just really amazes me what two guys and a drum machine can accomplish.
