I'm sorry, but there is no way in hell that a Spiritualized show is louder than a My Bloody Valentine Show. Maybe the way SPZ navigates dynamics makes their crescendos feel more intense, but MBV actually did damage to the venues I saw them in with their volume.

Eno didn't produce Souvlaki, really. He collaborated with them on like 2 or 3 songs on it.

I went to see Kurt Vile last night and the opening band was The Swirlies, which was a pretty cool blast from the past. They sounded pretty great, too-- a little shambolic at times, but that's how their records were. So if you wanna see The Swirlies, just know that they're probably coming through town soon.
