Pubic Fruit is such a wonderful compilation, worth it for "Cherry" alone. So happy I got to see them on that monster Rollercoaster tour that they did in the US.

It's even more frustrating that it's not even a situation where Spotify is devoid of ALL Curve. They just don't have the two Curve records I don't want to hear. Come Clean isn't horrible, but it definitely more produced as if they were going aiming for commercial and heavy radio play. I haven't listened to Gift in a hot minute. I should give it a shot.

J. Spaceman dropping a new Spiriutalized record next year.

Still the huge sound with the tone reminiscent of the material from And Nothing Hurt ...

Curious to see if he continues to re-release his other albums. I picked up the first three, but haven't gotten around to grabbing Let It Come Down yet.

Pitchfork has the track list.

Short record. Maybe some of those are epic sprawls, but I sort of doubt it. Interesting that the last two records create that Vonnegut record, but he did the latter part of the phrase first. I wonder if this is just outtakes from that session?

I believe that is absolutely accurate. LAGWAFIS got re-released in some fancy ridiculous CD packaging as well, and that version has the original intended version.

Trailer for Creation Stories! A biopic of Alan McGee starring Ewen Bremer (Trainspotting). Into it, especially if they get signoff for a righteous soundtrack.

24 Hour Party People is mostly about Tony Wilson and Factory Records. It’s a fun movie though, and just a passing knowledge of Joy Division and the Mondays is more than you need maybe.

Does the McGee movie feature JAMC or even have a guy playing Kevin Shields? Any cameos from real artists? The Factory movie had cameos from Mani from the Stone Roses, real Shaun Ryder, and I THINK Mark E. Smith.

Anyone got any suggestions of bands similar to Hum. Finally got a copy of Inlet and I'm wanting more. I have their other albums already. Huge fan of the space rock vibe like Failure too.

After Hum disbanded in 2000, Talbot formed Centaur. My memory is hazy, but I'm pretty sure it sounded like Hum. Big guitars and drums. If you like their sound, go check that out.

Assuming you're familiar with most of the stuff that gets linked in this thread. I rotted on that Teenage Wrist album Earth is a Black Hole for months after it was released. That might scratch the itch. Those first two Swervedriver records also don't disappoint.

You might check out the first two Secret Machines records? They have probably a deep kraut rock influence and will ape a riff for a bit, but they do go for big guitars.

Hum to me were always 90's alt rock with some shoegazey influences. When I first heard "Stars" on the radio back then I dug it because it reminded me of the best part of the Pumpkins. I didn't immediately go to the shoegaze/spacerock connection.

Channeling Captain Obvious but Spiritualized still brings the goods. I drove up after work and am typing this from the most miserable Super 8 known to mankind, but have no regrets.

He's not pulling out a "Medication" or "Cop Shoot Cop" on this tour but god drat do they still hit those peaks.

Oh wow! So jealous you got a "Come Together." I absolutely agree, those new songs melted me. I really like "So Long You Pretty Thing" as a closer.

Spooky and Split are instant purcahses for sure, but I need to give Lovelife another spin. That "Ladykiller" single was fun, but I'm curious how that album holds up to its predecessors. Wasn't there a track featuring Jarvis Cocker on it as well?

Spiritualized are opening for Queens of the Stone Age.

This is not a drill. That is all.

Reid brothers dropped a new single, with a new album out next year I think.

The early bits remind me of Munki, an album that I don't really hate.
