Fun Shoe
Today I learned that Koko B Ware secretly was the Kota Ibushi of the 80s and it's kinda throwing me for a loop.

It's not a hootenanny, it's an extravsganza!
Austin/Xavier hosed up big when he created UUDD for WWE and not himself. And if he left and created something similar outside of WWE he'd probably be better off as he would have access to an actual draw unlike anyone on the WWE roster: Kenny Omega.

This could be the most one-sided fight since 1973 when Ali faced an eighty-foot tall mechanical Joe Frazier. My memory isn't what it used to be, but I think the entire Earth was destroyed.

That velveeta Twitter is a prime example of a brand jumping on the “cool brand Twitter” bandwagon like 5 years too late and in the most soulless way possible

I remember quite a bit about the Nitro where Rodman made his first appearance, like Hogan coming out to "Voodoo Chile" for the first time, Rodman referring to Luger as "Lex Luthor", and the announcers selling Rodman's elbow drops as if he were hitting 450 splashes

I hated Ricochet here early on, but now the level of derision he gets every time he comes up makes me pity him and it turns him face for me, here's my favorite Ricochet moments.

"...must be friday"
when he did that Marvel movie fight scene match with Ospreay
his leaked home movie
the absurd humor in that while he had some of the best abs in the company WWE put him in a goldust bag
the whole prince puma mask and gimmick
the dark comedy in his current situation as being really bad at twitter and relegated to a show I wouldn't know how to watch if I wanted to.

A great tweet from him. He’s batting 2% instead of 0%.

I used to love the guy. Loved his matches in NJPW. Loved him when he was fresh.

It’s just hard to see this version we see today and maybe it’s due to the spotlight he gets. But jeez, it’s just...things could be so much better.

Also Rey Fenix should do that dropkick.

Booker T had a good twisting missile dropkick in WCW too. For some reason the shotgun dropkick replaced it entirely in the last 20 years but its due for a comeback.

I miss the chaotic energy some of these old matches have. Everything is a little looser and a little wilder. That koko squash looks like that dude pissed him off. I also remember a bret hart match from stampede with a lot of that same energy. Against bad news Allen I think.

Ricochet is a guy who got his dream job, but his dream job isn't as cool as he imagined. But it's still his dream job, yet he sees his old friends in Dragon Gate having fun and he gets sad that he couldn't just do cool poo poo like that all the time. So there's a tension in everything he posts.

and Io Shirai!

The thing is he was spectacular, and as you can see he did ropework and things like the above the top rope tiger kick years in advance than anyone else. But he couldn't put a match together between the moves so never got recognised as not even people after him but his contemporaries.

Then he blew his entire career up.

This video was uploaded THIRTEEN years ago.

Edit 2: I havent watched this video in years and yes he does a shooting star senton during this. A move I haven't seen anyone do since except Will Ospreay.
