I didn't notice this thread before but I just finished Shadow of the Torturer and it was a great experience. I have the shadow and claw combo thing so I'm on the next one now. I had no idea what I was going in for when I started but I put this in my favorites shelf on my goodreads profile. If I enjoyed Shadow this much I'm pretty much going to like the rest of the series right? The style alone is almost enough to keep me reading. The lack of structure people were talking about is appealing to me. I feel like the story has no restrictions on where it may end up and there's plenty of meaning below the surface to digest when you feel like digging into it.

I've been wondering if Wolfe is walking around with all those crazy words in his head or if he had some ancient thesaurus to cheat with.
