Anyone have Adagio's UtiliTEA? Are you satisfied with it? It's the lowest-cost variable temperature kettle I could find anywhere.

surrender posted:Have any of y'all tried Adagio's Earl Grey Bravo? I'm running low on loose-leaf tea, and my only options in the area are Teavana or the loose-leaf Twinings tin from the supermarket. I definitely prefer stronger earl greys, so I'm intrigued by the Bravo, since it includes pieces of orange rind. Upton's Earl Grey Supreme is... supreme. It's not extremely bergamoty though.

My Contigo travel mug from Target keeps tea hot for 3-4 hours, usually. Black tea goes from 'boiling' to 'comfortably hot' in that time frame and green tea becomes a step above lukewarm, but it's passable.

axolotl farmer posted:When you drink green tea that's good for several steepings, what do you do with the leaves between servings? You don't really drink 5 cups of tea in a row. You don't? I let them sit in the strainer usually when I'm not willing to do that, though.

KarmaticStylee posted:I just bought 250g of gunpowder from upton for $12. Do they have great prices or did I just buy dirt? The former. I'm yet to be truly disappointed with an Upton tea, but I haven't sampled their entire catalogue or anything.

Rollofthedice posted:I, like the rest of my family, happen to regularly drink unsweetened iced black tea (and sometimes green tea) - except to the point where I can't really stand hot tea or coffee. I've also been using teabags, which are apparently sub-par. Just drink twice as much black tea? Anyway, I never put anything in tea. My co-workers (Egyptians, mostly) think I'm insane. I once poured a bit of Rote Grutze from Upton in one's cup and he drank a sip, made a terrible face, and added four tablespoons of sugar. Anyone have some oolong recommendations from Upton? I never really got into oolongs and want to try them out.

Reiterating my request for some oolong recommendations; any decent website will do. I've never tried more than the standard ti-guan-yin (which I found good, but not stunning) and one roasted oolong that was completely unremarkable. Thanks!

Thoht posted:From Upton, for a darker oolong I like their Formosa Amber Oolong. For a lighter style, try either the Tung-ting Classic or Formosa Pouchong. Thanks for the recommendations, may pick one up... has anyone had experiences with the Chinese tea sellers on e-bay?

My Contigo started leaking for some reason. Can anyone recommend a good thermos that won't break the bank and that won't spill tea all over my file folders?
